| Spring Review: Like his Gator career to date, he was good but not great over the spring. With Brandon Hicks sitting out the spring, Edwards was given an opportunity to shine, and while he wasn't bad, he wasn't great either. It seems like the Gator Nation is still waiting for him to live up to his incredible potential. Two years ago, he was too heavy, he lost that weight and was moved to the outside where his athleticism is better served, but he still hasn't been able to make a move up the depth chart. |
He's one of the good guys off the field that seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle on the field, maybe through no fault of his own. He's done what has been asked of him as far as losing the weight he gained when he first arrived on campus. However, it feels like he has underperformed considering his billing coming in and how athletic he is. He doesn't play as big and fast as he is, and if Hicks and A.J. Jones, the opportunity for him to shine on the strong side doesn't look very promising.
