Neuheisel and Carter - Part II

In part two, Bruin senior linebacker, Reggie Carter gets the first question and he talks about the poise of redshirt freshman, Kevin Prince. Head coach Rick Neuheisel is also asked about Prince. The rivalry between Pac 10 and the SEC is also discussed and a lot more.

We have a tweet again but not for you coach it is for Reggie. It is an offensive question though. Reggie because you were part of spring practice how do you access your quarterback situation with the guys you had to compete against and breakdown their skills at the quarterback position at UCLA?

Carter: "Most of the time when I was in, I was competing against Kevin Prince and I think for a redshirt freshman, he was really composed out there, because we would scream and talk a lot of trash and said some crazy things to him (laughter by the audience). He stayed composed and I think he makes smart decisions and as long as he makes smart decisions, he doesn't have to throw 80, 60 yard touchdowns as long as he gets the ball ,where it needs to be, on time, I think he's going to be a great player."

Rick can you expand on Kevin Prince's abilities?

Neuheisel: "I just think, much like Reggie just mentioned, he's (Prince) very composed and wise beyond his years. He has all the physical things you look for. He's a 6-foot-2 and half, 225-pound kid, who can stand in the pocket. His arm is dangerous at all portions of the field, he can throw the out, make the make the comeback throw, and he can make all the different throws. He has a great grasp for the offense. He works at studying. He understands what we are trying to get accomplished. He understands defenses and how they play.
