Bulldogs offer Texas tackle

Three-star tackle Daryl Williams is one of the most sought after offensive linemen in the country of late.

The 6-foot-5, 269-pounder from Corinth, Texas is currently holding 15 offers from schools across the country.

"Recruiting is going real good right now," Williams said. "I've got a lot of offers right now from a lot of different schools. Right now Missouri, TCU and Kansas are standing out. They are the ones that are recruiting me the hardest and were pretty much the first to offer me."

One of Williams more recent offers came as a surprise when Mississippi State offensive line coach John Hevesy showed up at Lake Dallas High School to hand him the scholarship offer in person.

"That offer came real quick," Williams said. "I was in school one day and the coaches called me down to the office and the offensive line coach was there. He sat me down and talked to me and told me that they were going to offer me. That was the first and only time that I had really talked to their offensive line coach."

Williams stated that he received a call from Hevesy earlier today but he was still in school and would give him a call later tonight.
