A lot on the line as Auburn visits MSU

A lot will be on the line for both Auburn and Mississippi State as they meet Saturday night in Starkville. The two teams are tied for second in the SEC West with 7-6 conference records.

"I talked to the kids and it's nice being able to play meaningful games at this time of the year," AU head coach Jeff Lebo said. "They have put themselves in the position with their play to do that. It is fun. They are very excited about it."

Auburn hasn't won eight SEC regular season games in six years. For the Tigers to reach that goal Saturday they'll have to win in Starkville for the first time since 2000.

The Bulldogs have a 4-2 home conference record this season, their only losses coming by four points to Ole Miss and in double overtime to LSU.
