Auburn looking to white-out the Rebels

Three weeks ago Auburn played its worst game of the season in a 78-59 loss at Ole Miss.

But the loss spurred the Tigers to four straight wins before Saturday's 79-72 defeat at LSU. According to head coach Jeff Lebo, it's the best five-game stretch of basketball AU has played in his five season on the Plains.

"Right now, I think we are playing our best that we've played," Lebo said. "This is the time that you want to be playing your best basketball.

"There is not a lot of difference between the top and the bottom (in the SEC). You have to be at the top of your game every single night or somebody will beat you."

The Tigers (17-10) and Rebels (15-11) have identical 6-6 SEC records and are tied for third in the West, a game behind second-place Mississippi State (7-5), which plays at Tennessee Wednesday night.
