Sorenson adds TCU offer?

When TCU changed recruiting phylosophies with the 2009 class and went after prospects earlier than usual, the results were amazing. TCU will again take that approach with the 2010 class. PurpleMenace.Com caught up with [/db]Nathan Sorenson[/db] out of Texarkana,TX high school to get his thoughts on the early attention that TCU is showong him.

"I don't officially have an offer yet" explained Sorenson. "The coaches told my coach that they were going to offer me probably sometime next week."

With a TCU offer likely and even though it's early, the 6'2" 185 pound southpaw gunslinger was able to name a top five.

"Oklahoma St. just offered me" said Sorenson. "My top five right now consists of Oklahoma State, OU, Kansas State, LSU and I guess TCU would be in that top five too."

With it being so early in the process, take these top fives with a grain of salt. As more offers come in the lists of schools of interest become more and more fluid. With more offers sure to come in the very near future, Sorenson explained what it was that he was looking for in a school.

"The main two things to me are academics and facilities" he said. "Academics are number one, the school must have good academics and I want to go somewhere that has really nice facilities."

With his junior year now in his rearview mirror, Sorenson will begin to focus on his senior year and the recruiting process. After a junior campaign that saw his team knocked out in the second round of the playoffs, Sorenson has bigger goals for 2009.

"Well, I want to make it past the second round in the playoffs, that's the most importamt thing to me" he said. "For my personal stats, I would like to throw for 2,500 yards and rush for 1,000."

While Sorenson mentioned that he would like to visit TCU at some point, a date for that visit hasn't even been considered yet. Stay tuned to PurpleMenace.Com for the latest on Sorenson's recruitment and for all your TCU recruiting information.
