Three-star sets two more visits

Those who have seen three-star defensive tackle Justin Brown (6-2, 256, 4.8) from Compton, Calif., were baffled why he had such a slow start on the recruiting trail, but colleges are making up for lost time. He took his first official visit to Colorado this past weekend and two Pac 10 visits coming up in January.

"Things started slow for Justin," Compton head coach Calvin Bryant said. "But things have accelerated after our season was over and colleges were able to evaluate Justin's senior season."

"Justin visited Colorado this past weekend," Bryant said. "He loved it and they are high on his list. He liked the players, the coaches and truly enjoyed Colorado's college environment."

"Justin has changed his Oregon visit from January 23rd to a midweek visit on January 28th," Bryant said. "He wants to get all his visits done at the same time. Justin will go to Nebraska on January 30th."

Brown was selected to the Rivals.com California Preseason Top 100 for the class of 2009 landing as the Golden State's No. 45 prospect at any position.
