Kansas ready for Texas A&M

The 2008-2009 college basketball season is hitting its peak with the beginning of conference play and ESPN's Big Monday features a heavy-weight Big 12 battle as the Kansas Jayhawks (13-4; 2-0) host Texas A&M (15-3; 1-2), who has several solid non-conference wins under their belt. Sherron Collins paced the Jayhawks to a victory over Colorado on Saturday, a game in which KU struggled in the first half, eventually putting the game away in the final 20 minutes.

Saturday's road win over Colorado was a much-needed one for the Kansas Jayhawks.

To that point, KU hadn't played well in their two true road games of the season, losses to Arizona and Michigan State. As the second part of the season hits its stride, Bill Self and the Jayhawks are 2-0 and building steam towards another conference championship.
