Bruins land four-star

It is a very big weekend for UCLA recruiting and Rick Neuheisel and company have not disappointed. There is a very good chance that the Bruins have picked up three, maybe four commitments. BruinBlitz.com has already talked to one of them.

The newest Bruin for the class of 2009 is in reality the oldest Bruin as he was the first to commit to UCLA when he did so two years ago. That player is four-star cornerback Marlon Pollard (6-1, 160, 4.5) from San Bernardino (Calif.) Cajon.

"First we give honor to God for the blessing for us to have the opportunity to make a tough choice between three great programs in Stanford, Notre Dame and UCLA," Rachael Pollard, Marlon Pollard's mom said. "Marlon has decided to attend UCLA."

The Bruins land a player who made the Rivals.com Rivals250 team for the class of 2009. He is rated by Rivals.com as the fifth best athlete out of the nation's corners in the class of 2009.

Pollard was selected to the Rivals.com California Preseason Top 100 landing as the Golden State's No. 16 prospect at any position.
