Tilt With Tough Pitt to Test Hoyas

January 2, 2009 - This past Monday, Georgetown's 74-63 Big East Conference win at Connecticut forced many in college basketball to re-evaluate the Hoyas, despite the school's number eight, USA Today ranking. Such happens, when you thoroughly outplay the second ranked team nationally. The whipping left UConn's head coach, Jim Calhoun fuming "We deserved to get beat. Our fans seemed to want it more than we did tonight. I don't think anyone played particularly well".

Today at their pre-game press conference, G'Town's players seemed to channel their coach, John Thompson III by compartmentalizing that win as ancient history, and focusing on tomorrow's opponent, the University of Pittsburgh.
