Dawgs want Lott and he is getting close

One of the most athletic defensive linemen in the South was back in Athens for the Blackout. Derrick Lott attended his second UGA game this season and this one was better than the first one. He knows he is wanted by the Dawgs and he could be getting close to some big news.

"Georgia told me again that they want me to get my test score so they can officially offer me," said Lott. "I was there for the Alabama game and it was great. It was my first night game, I got to see the Dawg Walk, the Blackout was very nice, and the fans were very loud. The first game was nice, but this one was better."

Before the game, the UGA coaches showed the 6-foot-5, 265 pound defensive lineman a lot of attention.

"Mark Richt talked to me again, I talked to Coach [Stacy] Searels, my recruiting coach, and my position coach, Coach [Rodney] Garner."

"They all said about the same thing really and basically the whole staff came over to talk to me. They told me they are waiting for me to get my ACT score back so they can officially offer me. I have all A's and B's in school and I should be getting my ACT score back soon. They told me that they want me to be a Dawg."

Alabama may have won the game, but that did not take anything away from Lott's visit.
