Clark visits Iowa City

Marion offensive lineman Drew Clark has made a number of visits to Iowa City during the recruiting process, but last Friday's trip was a little different because it was the first time since receiving a scholarship offer from the Hawkeyes.

The Hawkeyes were the second team to offer Clark, joining Iowa State, after seeing him up close in their camp last month. On Friday, the two-star prospect had a chance to touch base again with the Iowa coaching staff, including head coach Kirk Ferentz.

Clark, who starts football practice at Marion on August 4, would still like to have his decision made before the start of football season if possible as he looks to choose between the two in-state schools.

Rivals.com ranks Clark at No. 6 in the current top 10 for the state of Iowa in 2009.
