UGA signees bring skill & excitement

Georgia signed a very strong class in 2008 and it was led by forward Howard Thompkins. Thompkins will not be able to do it all alone in Athens, and one signee that could help him is Travis Leslie.

Thompkins is a 6-foot-8 high skilled forward that was rated as the number 30 player in the country by Rivals in 2008. He will see immediate playing time and possibly fight for a starting position as a true freshman.

Check out these clips as Howard leads Wesleyan against a tough GAC team.

Leslie is known for his leaping ability and athleticism. He has to improve his outside game, but his slashing style, acrobatic dunks, and high energy will bring a lot of fans to Stegman in the coming years.

He is a 6-foot-4 wing player that loves to get on the break and get trash baskets under the hoop.

Leslie led Columbia to their second AAAA State Championship in three years in 2008 and you can see some of his clips vs. Marist here.

Both of these Bulldogs helped at the UGA Elite Basketball Camp on June 7 and they are already moved in and working hard. Look for both of these young men to help Dennis Felton and the Bulldogs in 2008-2009.
