Jackson ready to step up to the challenge
Florida State's 2007 class didn't make much impact on the national recruiting scene. It also wasn't one of FSU's typical elite recruiting classes and when the dust settled finished No. 21 in the Rivals.com rankings.

Rodney Hudson is already the team's top offensive lineman, Taiwan Easterling and Bert Reed were easily the offenses' top playmakers in spring practice, linebacker Kendall Smith is becoming one of the defense's top linebackers after earning a start in last year's bowl game, and Will Furlong has become a first team offensive guard.
Jamar Jackson was one of the higher ranked recruits from the class and has a great opportunity to make his presence felt along with the above referenced players.
