Karam enjoying the attention of spring

This time last summer it seemed that Jacob Karam of Friendswood, Texas was emerging as perhaps Oklahoma's top quarterback target for 2009. A year later and Karam is still not quite sure where he stands in the eyes of the Sooners and, in particular, quarterbacks coach Josh Heupel. After quite a lengthy time away from Sooner recruiting Friendswood recently played host to the man in charge of Oklahoma's signal callers.

"Coach Heupel was down here last Wednesday," Karam recalled. "(Oklahoma's attention) has been on and off, but they came down to see me. He said they were still really interested and said he wouldn't be there if they weren't interested."

With that in mind Karam admits that it's approaching a time that he'd like to know where he stands with the Sooner coaching staff. Not that the 6-foot-1, 197-pound want to exert pressure on the Sooner coaching staff but the reality is he is starting to get closer to making his own decision.
