Taylor in no hurry

With top flight players coming off the board on a daily basis, PurpleMenace.Com caught up with one of the top remaining targets in the class of 2009 for the TCU Horned Frogs. Stepfan Taylor out of Mansfield high school in Mansfield, TX is a highly sought after young man and the attention that he is receiving is growing by the day. Currently holding 14 offers from some of college football's heavy hitters, Taylor is in no hurry to make a decision. Originally the explosive runner wanted to make an early commitment but with so many schools to see and not enough time to see them, Taylor has extended his time frame for that decision so that he can see a few more schools.

"I was going to decide before my season started but I've changed my mind. I will probably wait until sometime after my senior year so that I can visit a few more schools" said Taylor.

With 14 offers in hand, only a few lucky schools will get a coveted visit from the talented Texan. Who are some of the schools that are front runners for a visit?

"There are a lot of schools that I would like to visit. I want to see Stanford, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame, maybe some others" said Taylor. "I'm not sure which ones right now though.

With a new time table now laid out, does that mean that Taylor isn't sure about which schools he's favoring?

"I don't have any favorites right now, it's too early to tell. I'm mainly looking for a place where I can get early playing time" said Taylor.

Speculation surfaced recently that TCU was one of the young star's favorites and that a decision in favor of the Horned Frogs was a strong possibility.

"TCU is still really high on my list. I'm being recruited by Coach Schultz and I like TCU a lot but I don't have a favorite right now."

With the decision now in place to wait a little longer to announce his intentions, expect this young man to continue to receive heavy interest from even more schools along the way. Will TCU win out in the end? Only time will tell. As of now, Taylor isn't tipping his hand one way or the other.
