RazorFest a smashing success
A school record 40,200 showed up in Fayetteville to watch the offensive explosion that was the first Razorback Spring Game of the Bobby Petrino era.
The Red-White Game was the grand finale of EAS RazorFest, a carnival-style event that benefits youth organizations in Northwest Arkansas and drew an estimated 52,000 people throughout the day. The White team beat the Red 45-14 and put up 601 yards of total offense in 78 plays.
"We got our first win," UA Coach Bobby Petrino said. "It was a lot of fun. It's great to come out here and see tahe crowd and all the fans that were here, and our players really enjoyed it. It's good to compete and line up and play a game of football. That'll certainly help us.
"We didn't do everything right, but we had some good execution on offense at times. I thought defensively the second half we flew around and tackled a lot better."
