Patterson's closing in on 30 offers

One of the top receivers in the Peach State is McDonough native Jamal Patterson. Patterson is closing in on thirty offers and he has put together an impressive resume here in mid March.

"I am up to 27 offers now and 5 of them are from Ivy League schools," Patterson said.

"The offers from the Ivy League are Cornell, Columbia, Harvard, Yale, and Princeton. I also picked up offers from Florida State, Maryland, and Auburn last week."

"Maryland sent me a written offer and the other two schools called me coach (Mike Rozier) and offered me."

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound honor student out of Henry County High School did not expect this many offers early on.

"I would say I am surprised," he said. "Getting these offers means a lot and I am honored by them. I really want to see all of these schools, visit the campuses, and take the time to visit as many schools as I can before making my decision."

He is rated number 185 on the initial Rivals250 that was released on Tuesday and he is getting close to the big three zero in offers. He has a long list now, but two others are showing a lot of attention.
