UCLA set to take on Stanford

Just a little over a week ago the Bruins beat the Stanford Cardinal 77-67 in overtime in one of the most controversial games of the year. With just seconds left on the clock during regulation Cardinal forward Lawrence Hill looked to have made a clean block on Bruin point guard Darren Collison to seal the deal for Stanford, but the referee saw things differently and called a foul sending Collison to the line with precious few seconds on the clock.

Collison coolly made both free throws to tie the score and send the game into overtime where the Bruins took total control of the game winning and clinching the Pac 10 crown in the bargain.

What bothered many Stanford fans is they couldn't close this game after leading for most of the night. In reality this game shouldn't have come down to a controversial call, but the never say die Bruins, clawed and scratched their way back into the game.

For the Bruins to win this ballgame they have their work cut out for them. Key in the last contest was an outstanding performance by Luc Richard Mbah a Moute. The Prince led the Bruins with 11 rebounds and scored 10 points for a double-double.

The Bruins will have to make up some of that production with Alfred Aboya and Lorenzo Mata-Real. This duo will have to help Kevin Love on the boards keep the tenacious Lopez Twins in check.
