his brother Bobby for several years, and the two had a high level of
success at Louisville. While at Louisville as offensive coordinator
over a four-year span, the Cardinal offense averaged over 41 points
per game, and they were 41-9. He has coached at Carroll College,
Idaho, Utah State, Louisville (twice), Southern Miss and with the
Atlanta Falcons. Under his watch in 2006, Harry Douglas set a
Louisville record with 1,265 yards on 70 catches. The Cardinals went
12-1 that season, carried a No. 6 national ranking and won the
Orange Bowl. Petrino has some talent and speed to work with this
spring at wide receiver, but the players on a whole are
inexperienced, unproven and have been inconsistent in the
past.
