Dakich unsure about Ellis' status

Indiana missed Jamarcus Ellis for several different reasons Sunday at Penn State.

Without Ellis, the Hoosiers were missing what Dan Dakich called their best playmaker against a zone, which would have helped them in dismantling a PSU defense that doesn't play a lot of man-to-man. But perhaps most importantly, Ellis' absence cut down a guard rotation that was already thin from A.J. Ratliff's departure, forcing IU's three starting guards to play 40-plus minutes apiece.
