Edwin 'Rock' Baker puts his trust in Dantonio

Dozens of schools BCS Conference schools across the country let Michigan State commitment Edwin Baker know that they wanted him to play football for them.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound running back from Oak Park had written scholarship offers from Michigan State, Texas, Georgia, Michigan, Purdue, and Iowa. But of that impressive group only Michigan State gave Baker, his high school coaches, and his family the peace of mind that he needed to make the biggest decision he has had to make in his young life to date.

Baker believes that of all of the head coaches at the schools he considered, Mark Dantonio was the coach that would treat his players the best regardless of whether they were leading the Big Ten in rushing or had a career-ending injury.
