Cross left Georgia confused

Defensive tackle is a position of need for Georgia in 2009 and they hosted a few of them on Saturday. One of them was Izaan Cross out of Flowery Branch (Ga.) and he was able to spend some time with some Bulldog coaches, get a feel for Athens, and see what it was like between the hedges.

"I went over to Georgia for a little while, but I could not stay the whole time because I had to get back for our basketball game," said Cross. "I was able to talk to a few recruits I knew, I talked to Coach [John] Jancek, and I saw the campus though while I was there."

"The campus was nice, they have a good academic program, they have a good training program, and they spent about three hours on that stuff when we got there. I would say the visit was fine. Nothing really grabbed me or grabbed my attention."

The 6-foot-4, 245-pound defensive lineman did spend some time with his recruiting coach before heading back to The Branch.

"I missed out on talking to Coach Mark Richt, but I talked to Coach Jancek a lot. He was the first coach to come by my school, so he has been the guy recruiting me for Georgia."
