Long time UGA lean visits Athens

A defensive tackle that Georgia has been recruiting for some time is Deion Roberson. Roberson is out of Tucker (Ga.) and he has made it no secret that UGA is his leader. He visited UGA over the weekend hoping for an offer, so did he get it?

"No, Georgia did not offer me, but they talked to me about it," said Roberson. "I want an offer from Georgia and I am just going to keep working for it. I met with Coach [Rodney] Garner and Coach [Mark] Richt while I was there and it was great."

Rodney Garner is the coach for Georgia that recruits Roberson's area and he also coaches his position in Athens. They know each other well and they spent some time together on Saturday.

"Me and Coach Garner have a real good connection. He is a real cool person, he likes to push his guys, and I could see myself playing for him and getting a lot better. He talked to me about keeping up the hard work, take care of everything at school, and for me to be back over at Georgia in March."

The 6-foot-3, 285-pound interior defensive lineman has been to Athens many times over the last couple of years, so he knew about UGA, but he still had fun during the visit.
