Liggins, Trent showcase talent at Gardens

LOUISVILLE - Kentucky only signed one player in DeAndre Liggins, but they may have gotten the talent of three positions as evidenced Saturday night when the 6-foot-6 point guard paced his Findlay Prep team to an 82-77 victory over American Christian in the Hoops Showcase at the Louisville Gardens.

Liggins, a Chicago native spending his senior season at the Las Vegas prep school, had 10 points, six assists and 12 rebounds to help keep the Pilots undefeated.

"We have multi-dimensional players and that's a luxury for us," Findlay coach Michael Peck said afterwards. "DeAndre plays the 1, 2 and 3 for us, but he can rebound like a 4 or 5 man. Then he can dribble out from that and that's a huge luxury because he can then start our break and get some easy baskets in transition."
