San Diego 09 OL could be special
The team that dominates the line of scrimmage usually wins the game. That is why talented offensive tackles are always at a premium and to jot down from the class of 2009 is Everett Benyard (6-7, 320, 5.1) from San Diego (Calif.) Cathedral Catholic. He has the goods to be special.
"There were a couple of coaches from the San Diego Chargers on the sideline of one of our games," Cathedral Catholic coach Sean Doyle said. "They were very impressed with his approach and demeanor. They told me that Everett is big time.
"Everett is very quick for a young man his size," Doyle said. "I could even use him as a tight end if I needed.
"Everett has outstanding footwork and pretty much dominates on the offensive front," Doyle said. "San Diego (Calif.) Point Loma started to chop him so he couldn't drive block, he just leaped over the would-be defender on got on top of the linebacker.
