Tiger hoops back in action

After a week off for Christmas, Auburn is back in action Saturday hosting Towson Saturday afternoon at Beard-Eaves Coliseum.

The Tigers have won three straight and enter the game with a 7-2 record. AU head coach Jeff Lebo is hoping the time off won't impact AU's play.

"They are not in school and no one is around in Auburn, and they just have to focus on basketball," said Lebo. "It is a hard time, and it was a hard time for me when I was a player."

Towson is 4-6 on the season with wins over Niagara, at Samford, North Carolina Central and Loyola. The Tigers have lost close games at Delaware, at Navy, and at Vermont.

A familiar name in former Florida State and DePaul coach Pat Kennedy coaches Towson.
