GoPowercat Q&A: Fran Fraschilla

Picture this: An hour before tip-off between Oregon-Kansas State, ESPN basketball analyst Fran Fraschilla spoke with about Michael Beasley. Standing about 10 feet away, the carefree 18-year-old, his head back and eyes shut for emphasis, held a basketball and attempted to match a Lauryn Hill tune note-for-note inside Bramlage Coliseum. Beasley was a tad off-key, but Fraschilla believes the fab freshman hasn't missed a beat on the court.

You've covered Michael Beasley already this season and have seen his numbers through six games, so what do you think of his game so far as you prepare to watch him against Oregon?

Fraschilla: What's impressed me is Michael's maturity on the court because he came in with the reputation of being very talented but there were some question marks. He looks like he's taken a very serious approach to the game. He has great basketball instincts, particularly as a rebounder. He has a good feel for the game and is immensely talented. It would not shock me at all if he's the No. 1 pick in this draft.
