McGaffie excited for San Antonio

For all high school players, the ultimate goal of the season is winning the state championship. Galena Park's Gahn McGaffie said although they didn't win the title, he wasn't going to let the overall result ruin a great senior season.

When he wasn't on the field, McGaffie said he spent plenty of time talking with Missouri coach Craig Kuligowski. The two became friends before his commitment to Missouri and since then, have really gotten to know each other quite well.

While talking with coach Kuligowski, McGaffie said the two were able to get his visit set up. He said that the Missouri coach made a good point as to when he should set up his visit.

This past weekend, McGaffie said he looked forward to sitting down and watching Missouri take on their oldest rival, the Kansas Jayhawks. After the game, McGaffie said that he continued to be amazed by the team and impressed with one of his future teammates.

Before he gets to Columbia, McGaffie said that he was excited to welcome his future team to his home state. He said that he was still looking for tickets, but he didn't think that would keep him from San Antonio.
