Quick hits from NC State's loss to New Orleans
Quick hits and notes from NC State's stunning, last-second 65-63 loss to New Orleans Sunday night at the RBC Center.
Play of the game
New Orleans was victorious Sunday night because they won the battle for a loose ball and T.J. Worley was able to bank in a long three-pointer with 1.7 seconds left in the game. Worley's three came about five seconds after senior wing Gavin Grant had put the Pack up by two on a driving layup.
Player of the game
Worley only played 19 minutes, but they were huge. He scored six straight points when NC State had reached its largest lead of the game at 41-30 to get New Orleans back into the contest. That included a four-point play. Then to top it off he banked in the shocking game-winner. He finished with 10 points, two rebounds and two steals in 19 minutes.

Grant admitted following the game he was not sure if his teammates knew what their responsibilities were, but the Pack are going to need some of their reliable performers from last season - juniors Ben McCauley and Courtney Fells and sophomore Brandon Costner - to return to form.
