One on One with Strickland

Once again, is the place to be for the most in-depth one on one interviews of UNC's top recruiting targets. In this installment of one on one, CB's Clint Jackson sits down with 6-4 Dexter Strickland, one of the top guards in the nation.

There's just something special about Carolina, and I don't know that I can really put it into words, but everyone just had such a good time. The campus was great, the players were a lot of fun to hang out with, the coaches were all very nice and the fans were incredible. I never knew so many people would know who I am.

CB -- I hear you and Dominic Cheek have been talking a bit. Can you elaborate on that? I notice that UNC and Florida are the only two schools on both of your lists.

STRICKLAND -- Dominic and I have talked about the possibility of playing together and that'd be fun. He's such a good player, so versatile. I know that Coach Williams envisions having Kendall (Marshall), Larry Drew, Dominic and I as the backcourt and we could all play together.

CB -- What was Carolina's pitch to you in terms of coming there? What's Coach Williams saying to you?

STRICKLAND -- Coach Williams told me that he really wants me to come to Carolina and that my game would fit really well there. He sees me playing both guard spots. Sometimes bringing the ball up and sometimes doing more scoring and shooting from the wing.
