Exhibitions provided few answers

You want insight into Arizona's 2007-08 basketball season? Don't watch the UA's two exhibition wins over Concordia University and Team Georgia. Many of the biggest question marks surrounding the team were far from answered in the two games.

It's tough to figure out what we did learn, so here's a look at what we didn't learn:

Will a backup big man step up?

Arizona's three backup centers, Kirk Walters, Mohamed Tangara and Alex Jacobson, didn't provide the kind of production that the UA is going to need from whoever replaces Jordan Hill in the post.

It's way too early to give up on anyone, but the Wildcats aren't off to a good start when it comes to overall post production.

A new Chase?

The hope entering the 2007-08 season was that Chase Budinger would shake off his reputation in the eyes of critics as someone who is better suited to be a role player than a star. Budinger played well in his first two games, but he's capable of much more.

Whether or not he has a new mindset and can emerge as a leader and a player that can carry the team on his back remains to be seen.
