Dizon's college career nearing an end

BOULDER, Colo. - On Sunday, for the first time this season, CU head coach Dan Hawkins uttered the "B Word" in front of his team. With two games left on the schedule, the Buffaloes need one more win to gain bowl eligibility.

Senior linebacker Jordon Dizon, who currently leads the nation with 85 solo tackles, is determined to make sure his college career does not end on November 23rd.

"It is our main goal right now," Dizon stated when asked about gaining bowl eligibility. "If you win six you are eligible but you are not guaranteed to go to a bowl. Last year, Kansas won six but didn't go to a bowl.

"So we're banking on seven. If we win seven games we're guaranteed to go and it will help our bid; maybe a little better bowl if we win seven games. It is what we're working for right now, what we're striving for. But we have to take it one game at a time."

Dizon left last Saturday's game with what was originally diagnosed as a concussion. But he later returned to the field. According to Dizon, he did not suffer a concussion.
