The final grades on Saturday's NU vs. KU game
LAWRENCE, Kan. - There aren't very many positive things to say about Nebraska's 76-39 loss to Kansas on Saturday.
The Huskers played arguably one of their worst games in program history, as they have dropped five games in a row to fall to 4-6 on the season. Here is the complete report card grade out of Saturday's game.
You really couldn't have asked for much more from junior quarterback Joe Ganz in his first career start. Ganz threw for 405 yards and four touchdowns, but what everyone will remember the most is his four interceptions. However, I will defend Ganz in that the way this game got out of hand, it forced NU to go away from the run and it put the Huskers in very predictable passing downs.
Running back: Incomplete
Nebraska's running backs only had a combined 18 carries, most of which came late in the game. There was a point in the game where NU called 17 straight passes, so it's safe to say it just wasn't the running backs day, so that's why they were given an incomplete grade.
