USC Midseason Recruiting Update Pt. II

As the Trojans continue to recruit roughly a dozen of the nation's premiere high school football players, USC must also protect the 14 commitments already obtained earlier in the year.

That's especially true of a player like Blake Ayles. Rated as the nation's No. 2 tight end, the future Trojan is rivaling a current Trojan tight end for statistical dominance.

With Fred Davis has had an All-American caliber season with 35 catches for 539 yards and five touchdowns, Ayles has been keeping pace at Orange (Calif.) Lutheran with 31 catches for 459 and five touchdowns.
