Game Nine Preview: Arizona vs. UW
On Saturday, the unpredictable Arizona Wildcats will try to pull it all together against the Washington Huskies. The winner will take its first step away from the Pac-10 cellar, with hopes of keeping the slightest hint of bowl eligibility intact.
Arizona needs to use its short term memory to forget about its lackluster play in the last three games. The Wildcats also need to play with a sense of urgency. Each player needs to evaluate their own performance and make sure they are giving everything they have with each opportunity that they get.
The losing culture that surrounds this organization must be forgotten. If the Wildcats can play passionate football, their talent should be enough to beat Washington. However, Arizona hasn't played with that kind of emotion very often this season.
The lack of intangibles has been the one of the biggest reasons why Arizona has lost six games this season. The Wildcats seem to match up well with every opponent, but lose the games because they don't know how to win. Winning is a mindset, and someone needs to be able to relay that to the players.
