AU commit having big senior season

Kennesaw (Ga.) Harrison WR Darvin Adams is having a huge senior season, but it's hard for him to admit it.

He's not the limelight-type-of-guy.

Through eight games, Adams, an Auburn commitment, is averaging more than four catches, 72 yards and a touchdown per contest. He's a big reason the Hoyas are 7-1 and ranked No. 4 in Georgia's AAAAA classification.

But he wouldn't tell you that.

"I think I've done good, but it's not based on me," said the 6-foot-2, 185-pounder. "Our offensive line is doing real good this year giving our quarterback enough time to throw the ball.

"A lot of people have been making plays like our two running backs, Jamal (Austin) and Robbie (Godhigh). We've just been doing real good as a team, and our defense is only allowing 9.7 points per game."
