Auburn's offense under the gun

When Auburn's offense steps out onto the field at Tiger Stadium Saturday night, there's little doubt they will need to produce more than the three field goals it took to beat Arkansas last week.

But they'll have to step up their play against an LSU defense that's one of the best in the country.

Despite the 43 points they gave up in the three-overtime thriller to Kentucky last Saturday, the Fighting Tigers rank first in the SEC in scoring defense (14.1 ppg) and first in total defense (223.1 ypg).

According to ESPN's Mel Kiper, LSU's defense features four potential first round NFL draft picks in defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey, defensive end Tyson Jackson, linebacker Ali Highsmith, and cornerback Chevis Jackson.
