Tiger report card

OXFORD, MS--The Tigers are 2-and-0 after a 38-25 win over Ole Miss on Saturday. There was a lot of good, and quite a bit of bad, news coming out of the win. PowerMizzou.com breaks down both and hands out our week two grade card:

Quarterback

You don't get a whole lot better than Chase Daniel on Saturday. Of course, Saturday was also merely what has come to be expected out of Daniel. 330 yards passing, a school record-tying five touchdown passes, an extra 66 yards on the ground and nary a turnover. That will win a lot of games.

Final Grade: A

Running Back

Tony Temple finally found some room to roam on Saturday. He finished with 126 yards on 17 carries--the exact same number of touches he had a week ago. He held on to the ball and picked up some tough yards, though he and the Tiger rushing attack had trouble in short-yardage situations at the end of the game. It wasn't perfect, but it was a long step up from last week. Jimmy Jackson had 12 yards on four carries, but the Tigers are still a long way from proving they have any sort of a threat after Temple.

Final Grade: B
