Auburn makes huge move with top '09 QB

Mobile (Ala.) St. Paul's AJ McCarron is one of the top junior quarterback prospects in the country.

The 6-foot-4, 180-pounder threw for nearly 2,000 yards, 25 touchdowns and just four interceptions as a sophomore.

Saturday night, McCarron, already tabbed as a Rivals100 to Watch in 2009, took an unofficial visit to Auburn for the Tigers' season-opening win against Kansas State.

"That was one of the best times I've ever had going to a game. The atmosphere was awesome," said McCarron. "Auburn does different things from other schools. The Tiger Walk is pretty cool. The players get to meet the fans and the fans actually get to be a part of it. That's pretty special."
