Sunday Night Notebook: D'Imperio coming along

Sunday night's practice took place under the lights as the Buffalo game is a mere four days away. The new bleachers are installed and Rutgers Stadium is just waiting to be filled. With the start of the season closing in, there seemed to be more excitement and energy in the air.

In an effort to get his team ready for Thursday night's game, head coach Greg Schiano held practice at night.

"We wanted to get them acclimated to the lights," said Schiano. "It's always neat to bring the kids out and practice at night. There was just a different energy. It was fun tonight. We practiced hard. The energy was good."

The bleachers are in

The new end zone bleachers have been installed giving the stadium a more enclosed feel. It also will put close to 2500 students right up on the action.

"It's the same closeness as Louisville. It will be a nice home field advantage if we get a team backed up down there. They seat between 2000 and 2500 people. I think it's great for the atmosphere. When you get a team backed up down there, it's loud. It's all students and they're pretty loud. It's a huge advantage," said Schiano.
