The right fit

Ron Anderson, a three-star rated recruit by for the Class of 2007, had accepted the fact he likely wasn't going to spend the 2007-08 season playing college basketball. It wasn't because the 6-foot-8, 260-pound power forward wasn't skilled enough, but instead due to the fact Anderson suffered a broken ankle last summer that kept him off the recruiting radar … or so he thought.

What opened up for Anderson was an opportunity at Kansas State. Already fully qualified, Anderson visited the Wildcat program and liked what he saw. The Chattanooga, Tenn., prospect was looking a list full of east coast schools before his visit to the Midwest, a trip that was enough to sell him on Coach Frank Martin's program.
