Practice Report: Monday Evening

The Crimson Tide took in their second practice of week two on Monday night under warm and humid conditions on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields.

Offensive line perfecting technique

The offensive line broke into two groups, one consisting of guards and centers and the other made up of tackles, to work on pulling techniques and run blocking schemes during individual drills on Monday night. Newcomers Patrick Crump and William Vlachos continued to see work with the second string after impressing their coaches and teammates in their first week at The Capstone.

Tide still relatively healthy

As the Tide begins its second week of work, the team has been relatively fortunate on the injury front with only a handful of players reporting any health issues.

Roy Upchurch continues to work in a black non-contact jersey as he recovers from an off-season shoulder surgery while Jeremy Elder worked in black on Monday evening. Saban told reporters on Saturday that Elder suffered a mild heat-related issue during the Tide's first scrimmage.
