Practice Report: Tide close out first two-a-day

After working through scorching heat during Wednesday's morning practice session, the Crimson Tide football team returned to the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields in shorts and shoulderpads on Wednesday evening at 7:30 for the second session of the day, completing their first two-a-day practice of fall camp.

Freshmen DL impress in second practice

Despite trudging through their second practice of the day during their first fall camp under Nick Saban, the young crop of defensive linemen consisting of Luther Davis, Alfred McCullough, Josh Chapman and Jeremy Elder looked sharp during Wednesday night's drills, showing plenty of energy. The group has made a good impression on coaches and upperclassmen thus far.
