Lane, Goodson top a crowded backfield

When talking about the best rushing games in the nation, the Texas A&M duo of Mike Goodson and Jorvorskie Lane always creep to the forefront of the conversation. Other tandems are always in the discussion like Arkansas duo Darren McFadden and Felix Jones, Clemson duo James Davis and C.J. Spiller or the Oklahoma State tandem of Dantrell Savage and Keith Toston.

There is something A&M has that those don't have. The Aggies are much deeper than Goodson and Lane.

They have senior fullback Chris Alexander, junior hard-nosed quarterback Stephen McGee and swift redshirt freshman running back Cornell Tarrant - and that doesn't even count incoming freshman running back Bradley Stephens.

At least one in the crowded A&M backfield feels that the Aggie running game is at the top of the list.

"Nobody in the country can stop us," Lane said. "That's what I think."
