Lone Star talent
One of the most under-rated players in the 2007 recruiting class was James Rodgers from Rosenberg (TX) Lamar Consolidated. Beaver fans learned about Rodgers late in the game as he made his official visit in late January and committed a few days prior to National Letter of Intent Day.
The 5-foot-7 athlete, who held offers from Texas State and Utah State prior to the Beavers offer chose the Pac 10 and both Oregon State fans and coaches are glad he made the trip from the Houston area.
After just four days of practice, it is obvious that Rodgers has the potential to make an impact in the years ahead. The speedster has made plays all over the Prothro Field turf and is pressing to avoid a redshirt year.
