Good vibrations

OKLAHOMA CITY - The Coca-Cola Events Center in Bricktown was whipped into a frenzy Thursday evening, as Oklahoma State fans basically got a "State of the Program" report from head coach Mike Gundy.

And the results of that report? The State of State's football team is strong and improving.

That's how I took it at least, as Gundy and Mr. Voice Larry Reece talked about the program and fielded questions from fans about the upcoming season and the 2007 OKC Cowboy Caravan.

The night started with Reece taking stage to open the event in front of a packed Coke Center crowd. One of the first things mentioned was the ongoing construction of Boone Pickens Stadium, which is quickly becoming bowled in as construction continues. Fans in attendance last night were the first to see new video of the completed BPS. Reece said that this would be the video that recruits will see while the project is ongoing.

Those recruits will definitely be wowed by what they'll see. We've all seen the diagrams and sketches of what the place will look like once finished, but this glossy video gave us computerized fly-bys of what we'll be sitting in very soon.
