Auburn makes move with Thomas after camp

Frostproof (Fla.) RB Carlton Thomas had never been to Auburn. He'd heard plenty about the Tiger program, just hadn't had the opportunity to see it for himself.

Last weekend at AU's senior mini-camp, the 5-foot-7, 170-pounder got to do just that.

"It was awesome," said Thomas, rated the No. 11 all-purpose back in the country by Rivals.com. "The camp was great. I got to experience the Auburn atmosphere for the first time and it was great."

Thomas was a standout in a talent-laden running back group that featured four-star Eric Smith, four-star Chris Jordan, Onterrio McCalebb, and Justin Albert.
