Top Miss. runner makes the score

It appears that a lot of schools have been waiting for Desmond Johnson's test scores.

The wait is over.

The Yazoo City running back, one of the premier backs in the Magnolia State, confirmed Monday that he has his ACT score and it exceeds the 17 required by the NCAA to gain academic eligibility.

"I just got my scores back and made a 21 on the ACT," Johnson said Monday. "I have a 2.4 core GPA so I should be good to go. I expect I will be getting a few more offers in the near future."

A lot of people have been speculating that the reason Johnson has only one offer so far was due to college coaches waiting to see if he made his test score.
