Jacob looking forward to UGA
The Georgia Bulldog basketball team has a talent quintet of players coming in for the upcoming 2007-08 season and one of the most important players is forward Jeremy Jacob. Jacob a small forward from Louisiana may help fill the offensive vacancy left when Levi Stukes finished his career at Georgia last season.
Unlike some of his teammates who enrolled early, Jacob is enjoying his summer and plans to arrive in Athens in July. As far as any academic concerns go, Jacob who spent the 2006-07 season at Hargrave Military Academy says everything is a go for him at the University of Georgia.
"I will be in Athens in July and everything is fine with my academics," said Jacobs.
Jacob a member of the Rivals.com top 150 (#84) has been working out in Louisiana this summer with some college players. Jacob hopes the pickup games will prepare him for head coach Dennis Felton's intense practices as well as the increased level of talent he will face this year in the conference.
"I have been working out with my trainer," said Jacob. "I am excited about playing in the SEC and everyday I have been playing pickup games with LSU players down here. I think that is helping me get used to the college level competition."
